Manual Handling Training
Our manual handling training is a thorough session aimed at educating employees on all risks involved with manual handling and teaching and training correct lifting techniques and manoeuvres. Our manual handling facilitators work collaboratively with you to develop customised training, specifically tailored to your workplace.
Job Task Analysis
Job Task Analysis involves a comprehensive examination and breakdown of the requirements and demands specific to a particular task within a workplace. JTA’s are conducted by experienced practitioners with extensive knowledge of workplace environments, skilled in observation of movement. The analysis details the physical, cognitive and environmental demands of each task in specific job roles.
Role Based Medicals
A role based medical assessment is a tailored, comprehensive occupational health examination. Some industries require employees to demonstrate their continued ability to meet certain health and safety requirements specific to their role. The assessment may involve a general physical examination, evaluation of several body functions engaged in workplace activities, pathology tests, colour blindness testing, spirometry, drug and alcohol screening, and any other tests as necessary.
Health Surveillance
Health surveillance is a system of ongoing health checks, conducted within a workplace during the pre- employment period, as well as during an employee’s time working within a business. These health checks may be required by law for employees who are exposed to noise or vibration, fumes, dust, chemicals and other hazardous substances. It is designed to detect ill health effects in workers at an early stage and allow employers to better control and prevent the development of disease or workplace-related injury or illness.
Audiometry
CHM conducts workplace onsite hearing testing for employees. This is a convenient and cost-effective way for employers to support their employee’s overall health and wellbeing. CHM recommends hearing checks to be conducted annually. During our checks employees will be asked to complete a questionnaire, this covers general health of ears, family history, previous problems, and work related or non-work-related known noise stress. Any major concerns will be identified and specialist referrals will be provided where necessary.
Nutrition Consults
A 30-minute Nutrition Consult is provided to help improve the nutritional and physical health of your employees by discussing their nutrition goals with an Accredited Practising Dietitan. Discover what strategies they can follow to accomplish their goals then a personalised nutrition report will be emailed to employees outlining their goals and strategies and any other additional support resources needed.
With this health appraisal data, we can identify current and future health risks and my team can develop a data-backed strategy to safeguard and promote our employees’ health and wellbeing.
